Tasty and Healthy Cooking

Cooking is an art and is one of the biggest challenges of the world. A good cook does not need special spices to bring taste in the food. No matter how less spices you use, cooking is defined by the perfect proportion and blend of the spices.

Paneer Bhurji

Ahhh!!!! this is my husband's favorite. This dish is very simple to cook and is a Punjabi delicacy.

Serving: 2 - 3 people

Time: 15 - 20 minutes.

Ingredients:

1) Paneer (Mashed) - 200 grams

2) Two Onions (Chopped)

3) Two Tomatoes (Chopped)

5) Ginger (Chopped)

6) Green Chilies

8) Coriander leaves

9) Basil leaves

9) Turmeric Powder
10) Salt

Procedure:

In all honesty, the quality of this dish depends on the quality of Paneer. Well, if you ask me, I prepare Paneer at home. To know the trick of preparing Paneer at home, check this post. You can also buy frozen Paneer. In that case, boil it until it becomes soft and then mash it properly in a vessel. Once this is done, keep the vessel aside.

Heat some Oil in a Vessel and put some Green Chilies & Ginger in it.

Once these things become brown, put chopped Onions.

You just need to saute the onions for a minute and then put chopped tomatoes. Also, put some Turmeric powder and salt, and mix the paste properly.

Cook it up for next 10 minutes on slow flame and then add mashed Paneer in to it. Put little milk and cook it for 10 minutes on slow flame.

Mix all the ingredients.

And there you go!!!!!!!!!! Your Paneer bhurji is ready. Serve it with Coriander leaves on top of it and enjoy its taste.

Basil goes great with this dish, and the herb adds taste and a unique flavor. I would recommend you to add Basil in this dish and see the difference.

You can have this with plain parantha, bread or normal chappati. According to me, it goes great with plain parantha. This dish is very simple to prepare, and it takes no time.
