Tasty and Healthy Cooking

Cooking is an art and is one of the biggest challenges of the world. A good cook does not need special spices to bring taste in the food. No matter how less spices you use, cooking is defined by the perfect proportion and blend of the spices.

Homemade Paneer

Well, you all can easily prepare Paneer at home. To do this, we need only two things and those are, full cream Milk and Lemon. To get a good quality Paneer, Milk has to be of very good quality or it should be full cream.

Procedure:

You can use as much Milk you want but for the time being, I will be explaining the procedure of preparing Paneer from 1kg Milk for which we need 1 Lemon. Boil the milk and once it gets boiled, put the Lemon. Stir it alongside for 5 minutes and then let it boil on slow flame for the next 10 minutes. You will see that Paneer will come on the top and this will indicate that it is ready. Take a cloth and sieve the Paneer through it. Tie the Cloth properly and put something of heavy weight on it so that water is completely drained off from Paneer.

And your Paneer is ready. You can straight away prepare Paneer Bhurji from it or you can keep it in Refrigerator for 2-3 days. If you are planning to do the latter then keep it in water otherwise, it will become dry in Refrigerator.

Optional : If you do not have Lemon then you can also use Vinegar. Follow the same above procedure, with the exception of putting Vinegar instead of Lemon.

My dad taught me this trick who is also a great cook :-)
